A bit about me

I've never had a career that followed a straight line.

I started in a small sign company, learning that good design wasn't really about making something look beautiful—it was about helping people notice, understand, and believe. I didn't know it then, but that simple lesson would shape everything that followed.

Over the years, I found myself drawn less to products and more to the people behind them. Why do some companies create loyal customers while others struggle to explain what makes them different? Why do talented teams lose momentum? Why do great ideas fail to connect?

Those questions became a career.

I've spent more than three decades helping organizations discover who they are, communicate it more clearly, build stronger brands, launch products, improve sales, raise investment, navigate change, and, in some cases, position themselves for acquisition. I've worked with startups chasing their first customer and established organizations looking for their next chapter. While the industries have changed—from food and beverage to hospitality technology, sports, entertainment, healthcare, higher education, and beyond—the work has always been remarkably similar: find the truth, simplify the story, and help people believe in it.

I've never considered myself just a marketer or just a salesperson. I'm most at home sitting with founders, executives, and leadership teams, connecting dots they haven't yet connected and turning complexity into clarity. Sometimes that means building a brand. Sometimes it's reshaping a sales strategy. Sometimes it's helping investors understand the opportunity. More often than not, it's all of those things at once.

I've been fortunate to help many companies grow in ways that mattered—not because I had all the answers, but because I've always believed the best ideas come from listening first. My role has never been to become the smartest person in the room. It's been to ask better questions, challenge assumptions with respect, and help people see possibilities they couldn't quite see on their own.

Outside of business, I'm a songwriter, designer, and lifelong student of human behavior. Those interests aren't separate from my work—they're the reason I love it. Every company has a story. Every leader has a vision. Every customer is trying to solve a problem. My job has always been finding the thread that connects them all.

Looking back, it's still a little surreal that a kid who started making signs would one day spend his career helping companies define themselves, grow, raise capital, build exceptional teams, and occasionally write the final chapter that led to a successful exit.

I don't take that journey for granted. And I still wake up excited to help build what's next.
